A NEW MODEL

The GOLDLAKESM Educational Model provides an organic structure for a guided experiential approach. It provides a strong academic curriculum that includes the arts and living artfully. Appreciation for the intellectual and the aesthetic aspects of society are taught to enrich and enhance the student's life. These are fundamental to the quality of life one experiences.

Education is 'custom designed' to provide a reference point to nourish, balance and train the intellectual, intuitive, and physical faculties of each student. The development of creative leadership skills and self-confidence are key elements.

Mentorhip and apprenticeship programs are integrated at all grade levels to encourage 'real life' situations. This ensures the journey does not end, but continues into all aspects of life.

KING'S VIEW ACADEMY

KVA, a pre-university junior/senior high school, was the first pilot to employ the GOLDLAKESM Program. The learning environment is free flowing with students working independently and in small groups, progressing according to their ability. Instruction is thematic, with an integration of arts and academics.

Teachers teach as a team in the style of facilitators and coaches. They are certified by the Department of Education, and must also receive training in the GOLDLAKESM Methodology.

KVA students are provided for individually, and assisted in recognizing and fulfilling their talents and gifts. Students have a variety of personal goals including careers in mathematics, science, music, dance, and the arts.
